Job Description : Staff Network Engineer for NOC

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Staff Network Engineer to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies. As Staff Network Engineer - should have a high level of expertise in many of the following areas : network routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Multicast, Anycast, VLANs, MPLS, Data Center Spine-and-Leaf Architectures, QoS, VoIP, Wifi, 802.1x, Wan Optimization, SNMP, IPSec, VPN, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies (SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, VXLAN, EVPN).. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Local Area and Wide Area Network Administration (Physical / Wireless Network) by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
• Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
• Applies revisions to host system firmware and software. Works with vendors to assist support activities.
• Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling County objectives and processes.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Participate in managing all network security solutions.
• Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.
