Senior Workforce Management Expert – Operations & Manufacturing
Full-Time Remote Work from India for a North American Client
We are seeking a highly experienced, Senior Workforce Management (WFM) Expert to join our team. This pivotal role requires deep, specialized knowledge in WFM and operational processes to support and enhance time & labor solutions specifically across our chemical manufacturing sites and industrial operations.
The analyst will act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for systems governing time management, employee / contractor attendance, and complex shift scheduling within a manufacturing context. This role is critical in driving system enhancements and multi-site rollouts, ensuring maximum efficiency, rigorous corporate compliance, and alignment with operational requirements across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Partnership : Serve as an active partner to HR, Operations Leadership, and Site Managers to define, document, and validate complex requirements for enterprise-level WFM solutions within a production environment.
- Process Optimization : Conduct in-depth analysis of existing workforce management and scheduling processes within the manufacturing industry, designing and recommending transformational improvements to maximize labor utilization, efficiency, and data accuracy on the shop floor.
- System Ownership & Expertise : Act as the system owner and primary subject matter expert for contractor time and attendance software, encompassing end-to-end lifecycle management, advanced user support, release testing, and strategic vendor management.
- Integration & Compliance : Oversee and validate complex system integrations with critical platforms (e.g., HRIS / Payroll, MES systems, Site Access / Security systems), ensuring seamless data flow and strict adherence to union contracts and industrial labor laws.
- Delivery & Rollout Leadership : Lead and manage requirements gathering workshops, develop comprehensive process documentation, and create detailed functional specifications for major WFM system upgrades, enhancements, and large-scale, multi-site rollouts across various manufacturing divisions.
- Performance Analytics : Design, implement, and maintain advanced reporting dashboards, KPIs, and labor metrics to provide operational leadership with actionable insights into workforce productivity, utilization, and compliance trends in manufacturing operations.
- Training & Governance : Establish governance frameworks, create robust training programs, and provide advanced, ongoing support and documentation for site-level administrators and end-users.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.Experience : Minimum of 7+ years of progressive business analyst experience focused specifically on Workforce Management (WFM), time & attendance, and associated systems.Industry Expertise : Extensive experience required in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments, demonstrating a clear understanding of complex shift patterns, shop floor data collection, and labor costing within a manufacturing context.Technical Knowledge : Strong, hands-on knowledge of major WFM solutions (e.g., Kronos / UKG, SAP HCM / SuccessFactors Time, specialized contractor management tools).Core Competencies : Proven mastery in documenting complex business processes, translating high-level requirements into detailed technical / functional specifications, and managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).Soft Skills : Exceptional communication, influencing, and facilitation skills, with a track record of driving consensus across senior cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Operations VP level).Analytical Skills : Superior problem-solving, analytical, and data modeling skills to resolve complex operational and system issues.
