Job Title : Risk Methodology Senior Specialist, AVP
Location : Mumbai, India
Role Description
- The Risk Methodology (RM) department, as part of the COO Division, plays a central role in developing bank-wide risk assessment methods to support resource allocation, risk appetite management, and informed credit decisions.
- Within RM, the Rating System Analytics Team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Rating Engines (Decision Engine - rating tool for retail customers & dbRating - rating tool for non-retail customers) and their infrastructure. These engines support national and international credit decision-making processes, i.e., the granting of credit products to corporate and private customers.
- We regularly produce portfolio analyses focusing on credit application behavior, portfolio quality, and the risk-return ratio. We also support the CRM (Credit Risk Management) department in developing new automated credit decision rules and identifying early risk indicators.
- Together with the Finance and CRM departments, we monitor the IFRS 9 risk models for the Retail & Non-Retail segments.

Conducting complex analyses to support various decision-making methods.Further development of the Rating Engines infrastructure and its interfaces to other systems in the bank, and quality assurance of the monthly re-rating process and downstream data deliveries to other bank systems.Analytical support for RM stakeholders and participation in the continuous improvement of internal models, especially considering regulatory requirements (e.g., CRR, EBA GLs, etc.).Close collaboration with adjacent departments (CRM / Business / IT / Finance / Audit / etc.) and, where appropriate, with external supervisory authorities (ECB, BaFin) and auditors).Creation and Automation of monitoring reports for the RSA team including deep dives into the report results. Analyze and understand root causes, open DQ issues and follow up on improvements of the data quality.Your Skills And Experience
Completed (technical) university degree or comparable education, ideally with relevant experience. Database Management and Credit Risk Management knowledge is desirable.Experience in the preparation, descriptive, and exploratory analysis of large datasets, and confident use of statistical analysis software (e.g., Python, SAS).Strong conceptual and analytical skills; flexibility in developing new topics and the ability to proactively, quickly, independently, and solution-oriented work on tasks.Fluent English, written and spoken.How We'll Support You
