Team Member - Legal

Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

Handle all legal matters including drafting / reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance, managing litigation, advising on legal issues, liaising with authorities, and supporting new projects as required by the Company.

Key Individual Accountabilities

• Drafting / reviewing contracts, agreements, MoUs and monitor legal obligations under such contracts and agreements and be responsible to ensure that all contracts, agreements are routed, finalized, executed only through the contract management software used by the Company.
• Initiate and pursue legal proceedings as required by the Company : revenue, land / immovable property related issues, factory laws, environment related issues, IPR, Taxation, etc.
• Respond to Show cause Notices and defend legal cases filed against Company and / or its officials under various acts.
• Advise, monitor and review compliances under various laws applicable to the Company.
• Advise the company on legal issues concerning the company and its business, including new projects
• Liaise with and assist external counsels.
• Liaison with regulatory, quasi-judicial, Administrative and other government officers.
• Represent the company in major legal cases, public hearings, arbitrations etc.
• Provide legal support for new projects e.g. Due diligence, contract review
• Other assignments that the Company may entrust.

Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 5 to 7 years of experience in handling contracts, compliance, litigation, legal advisory, and regulatory liaison across diverse legal matters.
