Practice planning and strategy execution
- Works with senior practice team members to enable Practice leadership to implement and evaluate the global strategy and additional strategic initiatives
- Supports and drives the practice planning process, integrating and synthesizing elements (eg solution, sector, region) into the full plan; adds and balances inputs from stakeholders such as Finance, Marketing, Partners, senior PPK members; serves as a key point of contact
- Interprets trends and highlight issues requiring intervention, eg cost recovery or commercial initiatives
- Consolidates and aggregates inputs, eg to IP roadmap / interlocks, ecosystem partnership tracking
- Proactively flags gaps and opportunities; recommends in-year tradeoffs
- Manages the solution / sector / region input process and aggregation for annual budget submission and reforecasts, including realignment / trade-offs; monitors progress
Practice operations and reporting
Drives the design and execution of practice reporting, in coordination with PPK Reporting & Analytics team, leveraging advanced analytical tools and AIInterprets outcomes and develops insights on performanceSupports preparation of senior leadership meetings with key stakeholders; including client-ready materials on practice performanceEnsures solution / sector / regional teams are aware of and adopt KPI definitions established by global practice team, Finance, and othersOptimizes intra-practice operational work through best practice sharing, centralization, automation or zero-basing; champions consistency in reporting standardsAffiliate management and meetings
Owns affiliate administration (may be within specific domain or across practice), including support to the HLA process and / or recommendations on resourcing / staffing decisionsDrives talent projects and cultivation, eg outside hiring, capability building, team surveys, internal staffing allocations, engagementSupports leadership on practice meetings and calls; oversees operations-related content; coordinates on meeting logistics with Events teamCommercial Operations
Monitors and drives agreed commercial pipeline actions; coordinates on evolving client priority list (regions / sectors); ensures consistent account management approach and prepares materials for callsConnects to frontline feedback loops and uses to inform analysis; shares best practices, eg business development requests, use of client promotersWorks across sectors / solutions to align marketing presence with practice priorities into an integrated planCoordinates with Marketing Lead on marketing backlogPractice communications and teaming
Drives internal PPK team management, eg coordinates practice-wide NPS monitoring, ombudsperson roleEnsures high quality results, may manage analysis done by junior(s) within or outside of the Operations teamOnboards and apprentice team membersEffectively manages the PD of juniors on team through coaching and performance feedbackAdministers BCN & Persistent IP resourcesWorks seamlessly across Bain functions to share information and create alignmentABOUT YOU
Bachelor of Arts, Engineering, Science, or equivalent undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials; Statistics, Business, or Economics concentrations also applicable; MBA is a plus6+ years of experience in a professional services firm environmentYou are intellectually curious and have a positive mindsetYou have a consistent track record of delivering strong results, including the ability to execute multiple projects at once using strong work planning skillsYou have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; you drive experimentation and innovationYou are known for your high-quality work, attentive to detail and very organizedYou have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to establish credibility with senior business executivesYou are a strong team player with a demonstrated ability to motivate team members and a willingness to be flexible in meeting the needs of the practice and stakeholdersYou can operate independently (comfortable with a remote supervisor, juniors, and wider team) and manage competing priorities with minimal supervisionYou have the maturity and integrity to manage confidential information and use technology in a responsible way (eg, AI)You are skilled with data modelling, analysis and other tools (eg, Alteryx, Tableau, AI / GBTs / prompt engineering) with a command over Microsoft and automation applications (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerApps, Python)You have experience with business and performance measurement, strategic planning, finance / budget management, project management.
