Role Summary :
The Deputy Manager F&A is responsible for driving financial excellence across the business by partnering with SBU and functional heads to support revenue and profitability targets. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, business partnering skills, and the ability to manage financial operations, working capital, compliance, budgeting, and cost optimization. The position plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Partnering & Performance Management
- Collaborate closely with the SBU Head to support achievement of monthly top-line and bottom-line targets.
- Provide financial insights to Divisional Heads, Vertical Heads, and SBU Heads on monthly profitability, product mix, cost structures, and contribution margins.
- Analyse working capital componentsinventory, receivables, and stock levelsand recommend actions to improve efficiency and reduce fund blockage.
Operations Support & Sales Enablement
Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to ensure timely availability of required products at CFAs to avoid stock-outs and potential sales loss.Monitor dispatch timelines, product availability, fill rates, and other operational factors impacting financial performance.Receivables & Credit Control
Exercise strong control over overdue debtors, NPAs, cheque-bounce cases, and disputed accounts.Conduct continuous review and follow-up with business teams to maintain healthy receivable cycles and minimize credit risks.Cash Flow & Cost Management
Manage cash flow to ensure timely payments to vendors, statutory authorities, and other stakeholders.Maintain overdue payments within a strict threshold of seven days.Drive cost-saving initiatives across all departments and track financial impact.Ensure cost-effective management of distribution expenses across locations.Banking & Funding Management
Build and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.Ensure availability of short-term and long-term funds at competitive rates to support business requirements.Budgeting & Financial Planning
Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with internal stakeholders.Facilitate detailed discussions and ensure final budgets are aligned with organizational objectives related to revenue, profitability, and productivity.Financial Reporting & Governance
Ensure timely finalization of quarterly and annual financial statements.Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.Oversee compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across all business units.Audit Coordination
Coordinate with internal audit teams to support audit cycles.Implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls and add value to the organization.Other Responsibilities
