Deputy Director – Menswear Buying (Urgent Search)

Roles and responsibilities :

1. Develop strategic buying plans and policies to optimize procurement processes.

2. Lead and oversee the buying team to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.

3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

4. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions.

5. Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.

6. Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in the buying process.

7. Evaluate vendor capabilities and maintain relationships to support long-term partnerships.

Qualifications :

• 10 to 15 Years in apparel Buying and Product experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, NIFT preferred.
• Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
• Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
