Role Details

Are you passionate about preparing nutritious snacks and meals for children in a warm, community-focused environment? We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for :

• Planning, preparing, and cooking meals and snacks for children aged 5-12, following established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
• Catering to children with specific dietary needs, allergies, and food preferences, ensuring all meals are safe and suitable.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, organised and sanitary kitchen environment, operating kitchen equipment, adhering to food safety standards and procedures.
• Monitoring stock levels, placing orders for supplies, and receiving deliveries.
• Working with educators and families to gather information about children's dietary needs and preferences.
• Ensuring food quality and presentation meet standards, and that portion sizes are appropriate.
• Assisting with menu planning, taking into account nutritional guidelines and children's preferences.
• Supporting a positive, welcoming atmosphere during our busy afternoon sessions.
