Key Responsibilities
Vendor Management & Procurement
- Lead vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding processes for telecom projects and services.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key telecom OEMs and network service providers.
- Ensure supplier compliance with commercial, legal, and operational standards.
- Introduce new supplier markets and competitive vendors to enhance business benefits.
Contract & Negotiation
Drive negotiations with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable terms in line with business objectives.Draft, review, and finalize contracts, ensuring alignment with annual business plans and procurement policies.Act as the single point of contact for all commercial, pricing, and contractual matters with vendors.Operational Excellence
Oversee procurement cycles to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to defined SLAs.Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with technical teams to manage feature development, equipment deployment, and solution procurement.Maintain cost competitiveness while ensuring quality and timely execution.Analytics & Reporting
Track procurement spend, savings, and vendor performance metrics (SLA / KPI).Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on procurement performance and cost optimization.Support internal audits and compliance checks related to procurement processes.Essential Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).5 to 7 years of experience in telecom OEM / network services procurement, ideally in large organizations (e.g., Airtel, Beetel Teletech, or similar).Proficiency in ERP and SAP systems for procurement and contract management.Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.Excellent communication, vendor management, and negotiation abilities.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.(ref : iimjobs.com)
