Your Team's Impact
FactSet is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead the Developer Portal team, based out of our Hyderabad office. This team is central to FactSet's Digital Transformation, managing the developer.factset.com website and building unified, seamless experiences for developers leveraging FactSet's APIs, SDKs, and documentation. As an Engineering Manager, you will mentor a team of engineers in a hybrid work setting and collaborate across product, infrastructure, and engineering teams while fostering technical excellence, delivery, and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical field from a reputed institution.
- 7+ years professional experience in web application development, with at least 2 years in technical leadership or management roles.
- Proven experience with modern full-stack technologies, including HTML / JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue (or React / Angular), CSS, and Node.js.
- Deep understanding of scalable, robust multi-tier web application architectures.
- Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Track record of mentoring and leading engineering teams in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Experience with JIRA, Git, and CI / CD pipelines.
- Passion for developer productivity, code quality, and delivering business value.
What We're Looking For
Lead, mentor, and support a team of full-stack software engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining FactSet's Developer Portal.Partner cross-functionally with product managers, designers, other engineering leaders, and stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize work, set standards, and deliver high-quality features.Drive the full software development lifecycle, ensuring the team delivers performant, scalable, and stable web applications in a timely manner.Guide the team in best practices for architecture, code quality, CI / CD automation, and release management.Provide hands-on technical direction, conduct code reviews, and enable skill development for junior and senior engineers.Champion consistency and usability in API documentation, standards, and developer experience across FactSet's public-facing sites.Stay updated with modern web technologies, frameworks, industry standards, and apply relevant advancements to continuously improve the Developer Portal.Own and optimize on-call, incident management, and operational excellence processes for the team.Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture within the Hyderabad team and in partnership with global FactSet engineering.Desired Skills
Experience managing a developer-focused product or portal with broad enterprise impact.Familiarity with Headless CMS (e.g., Contentful), technical documentation tooling, and API standards.Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG), browser-based and automated testing, and cloud deployment.Exposure to incident management, SRE best practices, and 24 / 7 operational support.What's In It For You
