Job description

Position Overview :  We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Pharma Sales Head to lead our sales efforts in the specialty chemicals business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Strategy Development :
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team capabilities.
  • Client Relationship Management :
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key B2B clients in the pharmaceutical industry, including API manufacturers and intermediaries.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis :
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
  • Collaboration :
  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and regulatory teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and promotions.
  • Compliance and Reporting :
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
  • Proven experience in dealing with B2B clients in the pharmaceutical sector, specifically with API manufacturers and intermediaries.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
