Job Summary
We are on the lookout for an experienced Salesforce Observability Engineer with over 6 years of experience to enhance our monitoring, telemetry, and alerting capabilities. This is a pivotal, remote role focused on ensuring the proactive detection and faster response times for our Salesforce platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in observability and collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and maintain the health of our critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive monitoring dashboards and real-time alerts for critical Salesforce performance metrics, including governor limits, Apex CPU time, API usage, and platform events.
- Implement tailored security and reliability monitoring practices to track unusual login patterns, data access, and unauthorized changes within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Leverage DataDog or similar observability tools to create custom metrics, visualize data flows, and configure robust alerting for system performance and availability.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, DevOps, and Security teams to integrate observability into the CI / CD pipeline and continuously enhance the monitoring landscape.
- Lead the charge in shaping observability practices for critical Salesforce systems and serve as a subject matter expert on performance, reliability, and platform Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of proven experience with observability and monitoring in Salesforce.
- Hands-on expertise with DataDog or equivalent tools such as Splunk, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
- A strong grasp of Salesforce performance metrics, governor limits, and best practices for platform optimization.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive proactive monitoring improvements.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce APIs, event monitoring, and system limits.
