Role Overview :
The Senior Investment Reporting Associate will take ownership of client investment reporting, dashboards, and portfolio performance analytics, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and timely delivery. Beyond execution, this role will lead process improvements and oversee key deliverables, mentor junior team members, and act as a bridge between reporting, finance, investment teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead preparation of regular (monthly / quarterly) and ad-hoc investment performance reports for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee maintenance and updating of client portfolios, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management, Accounting, Finance, Operations & other cross-functional teams to gather data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure consistency across reports.
- Calculate and analyze client-level metrics : performance, attribution, risk measures, fees, contributions / distributions, NAV, etc.
- Manage investor communications : pitch decks, investment review presentations, reports, responses to investor / consultant questionnaires.
- Monitor cash flows, margin requirements, capital calls, and excess / idle cash deployment in line with policy.
- Implement and refine reporting tools, templates, automation (in Excel, BI tools, etc.) to improve efficiency, reduce manual reconciliation.
- Lead process improvements : identify bottlenecks, gaps in data / data flows, implement controls to ensure data integrity.
- Mentor / coach junior associates in the team : reviewing their reports, guiding on best practices, quality of output.
- Ensure all reporting meet regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related). Often, advanced degree or relevant certification (CFA, FRM, etc.) is a plus.5+ years of relevant experience in investment reporting, fund accounting, performance & risk reporting, or related finance function.Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, modeling, pivot tables) and PowerPoint. Experience with BI / data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) is very desirable.Good understanding of financial markets, asset classes (equity, fixed income, derivatives, alternatives), and performance / risk metrics / attribution.Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills — ability to produce polished deliverables.High attention to detail & strong analytical mindset; ability to juggle multiple deliverables under tight timelines.Experience in process improvement / automation and ability to suggest & implement refinements.Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
