Job description
  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Vendor Development & Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to support production requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality.
  • New Vendor Selection
  • Assess vendor capabilities based on quality, capacity, cost, and compliance criteria.
  • Conduct vendor audits and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Technical Feasibility & Process Verification
  • Verify manufacturing process feasibility as per technical drawings and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
  • RFQ Management & Cost Negotiation
  • Float Requests for Quotations (RFQ) , perform quote analysis / comparisons , and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Finalize cost settlements in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Product Development & Timely Delivery
  • Coordinate with vendors to develop new products as per required lead times and quality expectations.
  • Track development timelines and ensure timely availability of parts / components.
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including material planning, order placement, and logistics.
  • Maintain inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Travel Flexibility
  • Willingness to travel to vendor sites, manufacturing units, or project locations as required.
  • Qualifications :
  • Graduate / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Production preferred) or related field
  • 1–5 years of relevant experience in vendor development and procurement
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and documentation
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Willing to travel based on operational needs
