About Experience Co :
Since 2014, Experience Co. has created conversation spaces that are intimate, experimental, and magnetic—gathering India's new-age creators, rebels, entrepreneurs, and artists who were tired of surface-level living.
After 200+ experiences—festivals, roadtrips, residencies—we've built a team and community that thrives on intention, trust, and growth. Behind every magical experience is a culture of care, systems that work, and people who feel genuinely supported.
We're looking for builders.
People who see HR not as paperwork, but as the operating system that helps humans thrive.
People and Culture Intern - Experience Co.
At ExCo, Every person matters. Every system we build shapes how we work, grow, and show up for each other.
This isn't about ticking boxes or filing documents. It's about
designing the employee experience —from onboarding that feels warm and clear, to leave policies that actually make sense, to solving the tiny friction points that make work frustrating.
If you love
people, systems, and making things run smoothly , this is where you start.
About the Role : We're looking for a
People and Culture Intern
who wants to
build the foundations of a high-trust, high-performance team culture.
You'll work on leave tracking to onboarding, Slack workflows to performance conversations. You'll be the person who notices what's broken, thinks through solutions, and builds systems that scale.
This is a
hands-on, 0-to-1 role.
You won't just execute—you'll propose, design, and own small but meaningful projects that impact every team member.
Key Responsibilities :
People Operations & Systems
Own and optimize leave management systems—track, update, and ensure accuracy
Build templates and workflows for contracts, onboarding docs, and team communications
Manage integrations between tools (Slack, Razorpay X Payroll, SignRequest, etc.)
Identify operational bottlenecks and design systems to eliminate them
Maintain employee records, directories, and org charts with obsessive accuracy
Metrics & Reporting
Track and report on key people metrics : headcount, leave balances, probation timelines, attrition
Build dashboards or reports that make HR data easy to understand and act on
Monitor team sentiment through pulse checks, feedback loops, and one-on-one insights
Present findings clearly and recommend data-driven improvements
Employee Experience & Communication
Support onboarding and offboarding journeys—make them smooth, warm, and memorable
Draft internal comms : policy updates, team announcements, culture emails
Respond to team queries with clarity, empathy, and speed
Help organize team rituals, celebrations, or culture-building moments
Problem-Solving & Projects
Take on ad-hoc people challenges : "How do we track freelancer contracts better?" or "Why is leave approval confusing?"
Research best practices in people ops, remote work policies, or team culture
Propose and pilot new initiatives (e.g., feedback systems, recognition programs, wellness check-ins)
Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership to align people systems with business needs
What Success looks like :
Clean, accurate people data and reporting that leadership trusts
Systems that reduce friction—team members know where to find info and how things work
Proactive problem-solving : you spot issues before they escalate
Internal comms that are clear, thoughtful, and on-brand
Projects completed independently with minimal hand-holding
Team members feel supported, informed, and cared for
What we're looking for :
Loves people and genuinely cares about employee experience
Systems thinker : you don't just solve problems—you build frameworks to prevent them
Strong
operational mindset —detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven
Comfortable with metrics, spreadsheets, and turning data into insights
Excellent
written and verbal communication
(especially Slack and email)
Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership
Curious and resourceful : Googles solutions, researches tools, proposes ideas
Experience : 0-1 years in HR, operations, or people roles (or relevant internship experience). Fresh graduates with strong operational instincts are welcome.
Why this role matters :
When systems work, people feel supported. When communication is clear, trust grows. When someone actually tracks leave balances properly, nobody burns out in silence.
At ExCo, we're building a culture where
people feel seen, systems feel seamless, and work feels intentional.
This role is foundational to that vision.
If you're the kind of person who gets excited about color-coded spreadsheets, smooth onboarding flows, and solving the puzzle of "how do we make this easier for everyone?"— this is your start.
