Role & responsibilities
Accounting Associate
- Provide accounting for non-SAS accounts, generally considered more complex or higher risk in nature (e.g. volume rebates, accrued liabilities, AR allowances, restructuring).
- Co-produce the Monthly Financial Overview with Financial Reporting. Primarily responsible for balance sheet fluctuations and supporting detail schedules.
- Identify, research and post adjustments for missing or inaccurate transactions identified at close typically, around system issues (e.g. late or missing VMS feeds).
- Work with IT and SAS to solve system-based issues affecting the financial statements (e.g. Unbilled AR).
- Provide research and support for Corporate Finance as needed.
- Administer SOX controls; provide support for internal and external audits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyzes trends, costs, revenues.
- Prepares general ledger account reconciliations and recurring and adjusting journal entries.
- Effectively communicates findings to management.
- Complete timely data entry of required data into Volts automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data. Qualifications
- 2+ years progressive accounting and finance experience which includes general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting
Knowledge & Skills
