Project Summary

This project focuses on the design, implementation, and management of large-scale

Flood and Drainage projects

with significant dredging components, aimed at improving water resource management, reducing flood risks, and enhancing resilience in vulnerable regions of Asia. Funded by international financing institutions such as

ADB, World Bank, or other MFIs , the project requires expert technical leadership, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with appraisal and monitoring requirements. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely, high-quality, and technically sound delivery of project outcomes over the 24-month engagement.

Job Summary

The Team Leader will be responsible for overall supervision, monitoring, and technical guidance of the project. With extensive experience in flood and drainage management, including dredging works, the expert will lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists, ensure compliance with international donor and government standards, and maintain close liaison with the client and stakeholders. The role demands leadership, decision-making, and strategic oversight to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership, supervision, and monitoring of project activities.

Offer technical guidance in design, implementation, and management of flood and drainage projects.

Ensure compliance with observations and appraisal requirements of ADB, World Bank, or State / Central Government agencies.

Liaise closely with the client and maintain coordination with stakeholders at .

Monitor and evaluate the performance and outputs of other experts and project staff.

Review, validate, and ensure the quality of project deliverables, technical reports, and designs.

Manage project risks, resource allocation, and ensure adherence to timelines.

Oversee dredging-related activities within the flood and drainage context.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate degree in Civil Engineering.

Post-Graduate degree in Hydrology / Water Resources or equivalent.

At least

20 years of professional experience

at .

Minimum

8 years of experience in Asia

in flood and drainage projects with dredging components.

Proven record of

team leadership

in large-scale projects funded by ADB, World Bank, or other MFIs.

Strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills.

Experience in stakeholder engagement, compliance, and coordination with appraisal organizations.
