B.L. Harbert International is looking for a BIM Manager for a New Embassy Compound in New Delhi, India. The BIM Manager is responsible for the project’s coordination across all disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) for 8-10 buildings, all compound utilities, conducting internal clash detections with BLHI’s on-site modelling & engineering team, and conducting weekly client coordination meetings. Additionally, the candidate’s BIM team would be producing final coordination drawings, shop, & fabrication drawings for all self-performing scopes.
Candidate’s ability to understand construction drawings and specifications are vital along with familiarity with BIM software (i.e. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revizto, and BIM 360).
Work Environment :
BLHI self-performs most trade installations and has an inhouse BIM / engineering team to support each self-performing scope. The BIM manager must :
Manage 8-12 BIM modelers across multiple disciplines (architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing).
Handle the hiring & firing of all BIM Modelers.
Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to internal BIM team.
Coordinate with Site Engineering Staff on project specific requirements.
Must be able to work on-site for 60-hours / week, six days / week, 10 hours / day
Qualifications
Education
Required
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Structural or MEP Engineering, Construction
Management or related field.
Experience
Required
5-7 years : Experience in the management or support of complex multi-phased construction projects.
Preferred
Experience with self-performing mechanical, electrical, and / or plumbing trades. Including prior experiences coordinating / developing LOD 400 models for field installation.
Experience in highly technical Department of Defense or Department of State projects.
Experience leading a successful project overseas.
