We are looking for a Technical Lead in Product Validation having independent responsibility in setting up and executing Test procedures, leading all activities related to Design Verification of the connector and harness assemblies at the Molex Global Technical Center in Bengaluru, India. This role will require you to lead the setup and organization of equipment and resources to support the product testing and validation capabilities for Copper Solutions Business Unit. You will have the responsibility to work with global stakeholders to grow the validation capabilities to meet the increasing need for product validation bandwidth in the region. Our Team
The Copper Solutions Business Unit team at the Global Technical Center in Bengaluru has engineering ownership across several Connector Product Lines, provides Product Design and Validation Services, designs and develops Mold & Die Tooling, Gage & Fixture, Product Testing Systems and Application Tooling services to customers and stakeholders in Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division located across the globe. The Division primarily provides products and solutions that go into Datacenter and related infrastructure that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team at Molex India Business Services, Bengaluru.
What You Will Do
- Lead / Execute, perform, summarize and report out product verification and testing activities
- Grow product validation capability at the site by recruiting and training resources, procuring and commissioning equipment and accessories based on business requirements
- Understand User requirements / System Requirements and prepare the System Level Test cases and prepare test procedures
- Understand the Product Functionality and perform the Functional and Performance testing related to mechanical reliability (such as temperature, vibration, cable pull and bend testing, connector insertion and mating, etc) and electrical performance (such as Signal Integrity and continuity, impedance and contact resistance, etc)
- Drive / Perform Installation / Operational / Performance Qualification Protocols.
- Follow instructions clearly from Design engineers during Test execution. Interacts with Design team to resolve technical issues
- Support Design engineers in Test fixture creation, building up & tearing down Test equipment.
- Plan Lab logistics and maintain the material supply for testing requirements.
- Diagnose, isolate, and investigate problem reports and defects.
- Work with external vendors and test houses to define the test scope, author the test plans, test procedures, execute & consolidate the reports
- Ensure good manufacturing and fixturing practices are followed in the Verification Process
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective / Preventive action as needed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fieldAbout 10 years of experience with minimum 5 years in Product / System Verification testing and performance testingHands-on experience in overall final design verification / validation (V&V) testing of electromechanical productsRelevant technical testing / reliability experience in electro-mechanical, electrical testing of electromechanical productsUnderstanding of test methods and processes as well as the methods used to verify products in the areas of mechanical, electrical, functional testing environmentsBasic hands-on experience in data analysis of Performance testing and Sample size calculationsExperience in Data Analysis Tools such as Minitab, etc.Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and conciselyAbility to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlinesGood interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, collaborate with lab personnel from across the site, region and globe.What Will Put You Ahead
