It is situated on the edge of the rural town ship of Willunga, fifty minutes’ drive from the city of Adelaide. About the Role
The High School Tech Studies Teacher will be responsible for implementing the specialist Tech curriculum across the classes they teach in the high school. Key duties will include teaching woodwork to the various year levels using a variety of tools and machinery, conducting age-appropriate safety inductions, risk management and mitigation, and servicing of relevant tools, machinery, and equipment. An overview of the Waldorf / Steiner curriculum is required (and will be provided if necessary), so one can see the complete picture and how one’s own subject is integrated into the whole.

Essential Qualifications / Certificates
Applicants must hold at minimum a Bachelor of Education specialising in Technical Studies (including Woodwork and Metalwork), or have a comparable degree, diploma and / or certificates. They must be eligible for registration with the SA Teachers Registration Board, hold a current Working with Children Check and be willing to provide / obtain RRHAN-EC and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificates.

This is a fixed-term, part-time replacement contract comprising a minimum 0.6 FTE to be worked over 3 ½ to 4 days. Additional lessons teaching English and / or History subjects may be available to the right candidate.
Remuneration will be based on the current Willunga Waldorf School Enterprise Agreement.
