Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts for COBOL-based applications. Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system functionality. Validate data processing logic in COBOL programs, especially in batch and online environments. Participate in defect management, including logging, tracking, and verifying fixes. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test data and assisting users. Contribute to test automation initiatives where possible. Ensure compliance with testing standards, best practices, and documentation requirements. Expertise in Banking / Finance Domain and Functional test preparation & execution - Min 5-6 years of experience. Hands-on experience with Test Management / test planning activities, designing test cases, user story / script creation and execution Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques : User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, Agile Games Knowledge of various test levels and test types : white / black box, system, performance, integration, regression testing Familiar with ALM test management tool Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence) Excellent communications skills : ability to translate complex business processes and technical designs and concerns into easy-to-understand language Excellent test reporting skills Able to control multiple assignments and to manage priorities Training and development to help you excel in your career.
