About the Role
We are looking for an Inventory Planner to ensure optimal stock levels across channels and drive efficient product flow for our fashion and lifestyle brand portfolio across GCC, India and SEA. This role will work closely with brand managers, supply chain, and channel teams to align buys with sales forecasts, manage allocations, and implement strategies to optimise inventory health and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning at Buy Stage – Partner with brand managers to align buy quantities and assortment with channel sales plans and demand forecasts.
Channel Allocation – Distribute inventory across multiple sales channels (retail, marketplace, wholesale) based on sales velocity and channel strategy.
Model Management – Manage inventory under both consignment and marketplace models, including allocations from central warehouses.
Coordination with Supply Chain – Liaise with central supply chain teams to ensure timely inventory movements across regions and platforms.
Ageing Inventory Management – Analyse ageing stock and develop clearance strategies to optimise sell-through and recover margins.
Markdown & Pricing Strategy – Recommend markdowns based on inventory age, sales trends, and margin targets.
Demand & Cover Analysis – Monitor inventory covers and replenishment cycles to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Data & Reporting – Maintain accurate inventory reports, highlighting risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with merchandising, finance, marketing, and operations to align inventory decisions with business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
7-8 years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or merchandising, preferably in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle retail.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a plus.
Understanding of multi-channel inventory management and supply chain processes.
Experience in markdown planning and clearance strategies.
Commercial acumen to balance stock availability, sales velocity, and profitability.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions with data-driven recommendations.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
