Our DBA team supports databases which are available both on-premise and on Cloud. In this role, you will be asked to organize and manage the Database instances to meet our objectives and maintain the highest customer satisfaction that is possible.
To ensure success as a DBA, you should possess extensive knowledge of Oracle database architecture, i as well as having experience in a similar role.
Database Administrator Responsibilities :
- Oracle Database Architecture
- Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.
- Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements.
- Provide mentorship to group members and will be expected to help develop and support mid and junior level staff.
- Performed all aspects of database administration including installs, builds, upgrades, object sizing, object creation, users, backup / recovery, patches, monitoring, export / imports and SQL loader
- Manage ASM storage migration, Creation of Diskgroup, Rebalancing the diskgroup and alter diskgroups
- Implement Installation / Configuration of Data Guard Broker and testing all Failover scenarios
- Engage with external customer and internal service delivery team to gather new requirements
- Creation of Business requirement documents
- Creation of HLD and LLD documents to be shared for implementation
- Investigation & troubleshooting of issues reported by customers / partners and internal users
- Performs regular strategic analysis of the DB infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and / or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server in a standalone or RAC Environment
- Implementing high availability solutions using Oracle Real Application Cluster
- Implementing DR solutions using Oracle Standby Database using Oracle Data Guard
- Migrating schemas using traditional exp / imp and Oracle Datapump utilities.
- Cross platform migration
- Generating and Analyzing Oracle AWR and ADDM Reports
- Monitor data backup process and perform data recovery if needs be.
- Study database related issues that could affect the database production infrastructure and document the issues.
- Develop scripts to automate functions, processes and monitor database performance
Database Administrator Requirements :
BE / MCA any computer science related majorAt least 10+ years of experience as Oracle Database AdministratorStrong communication, coordination and interpersonal skillsStrong Core Oracle Database knowledge (12c and 19c) including RAC / ASMStrong SQL, PL / SQL and shell / Perl scripting skillsBasic knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middleware (.
