ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – South Asia, you will lead administration and operational aspects of the office finance, budget, human resource activities, and associated reporting requirements across the region. As directed by the Commissioner you will assist, as required with missions and visit programs, marketing and communication functions as well as business development research.
ABOUT YOU
- a strong, administrative all-rounder with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role with an international organisation
- legally authorised to work in India and have high-level written and spoken English
- Required to work in Bengaluru office Monday-Friday and some afterhours work may be required during VIP visits, missions and expos
The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. Experience working between Australia and India would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities of the work
Provide high level administrative support to the Commissioner for management of the Bengaluru office and the wider TIQ team across Mumbai and South Asia and foster an environment that values performance, customer service, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality servicesOn behalf of the Commissioner manage budget and expenditure of the office in accordance with TIQ Financial Management Practices including regular review of financial reports and compilation of budget estimates for the India officeManage the relationship with the local payroll service provider for salary, leave, and other entitlements in compliance with obligations under Indian lawcoordinating resources to support business needs and management of the day-to-day administrative matters in the region, manage office assets, purchasing office supplies and equipment and general oversight of facilities and services for the officeProvide support for Ministerial, VIP and international missions into India and the South Asia region including logistical arrangements, programs and planning for visiting delegationsProviding Business Development Assistance
As directed by the Commissioner, assist in research and provide support for projects undertaken by TIQ IndiaProvide client service and contribute as a member of the office team by assisting to co-ordinate appointments, seminars, meetings and travel arrangements for officers and visitorsFoster an environment that values performance, customer service, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality servicesSupport local office with programs, planning and communication for trade missions, trade shows and visiting delegationsCo-ordination of Marketing / Communication
Liaise with TIQ Marketing team (Brisbane) on all matters related to the development and creation of marketing content.In co-ordination with the Corporate Communications team (Brisbane) maintain and update social media tools (LinkedIn, Twitter) for TIQ IndiaQualifications
10+ years' experience in Operations Management for a global organisation and an understanding of governmentProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteHigh level written and spoken English languageHOW TO APPLY
