Job Description – State & Local Tax (SALT)

Level : Senior Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Drive high-quality compliance : Ensure detailed review, timely and accurate state and local income / franchise, gross receipts, and other tax return filings for entities and individuals.
• Develop and implement SOPs : Standardize processes for recurring returns, notice response, apportionment reviews, and nexus analyses.
• Provide SALT advisory services : Support clients with nexus determinations, apportionment planning, and state-level structuring and planning.
• Stay current on changing laws : Monitor state and local tax legislative and regulatory updates to ensure compliance and proactively advise clients.
• Build a culture of quality and accountability : Implement review standards, maintain audit defensibility, and build in process checkpoints.
