Role : Senior Analyst – US Mortgage Underwriting

Key Responsibilities :

Analyze deal-related documentation, due diligence, and third-party reports to assess risk and underwriting decisions.

Manage the end-to-end deal process proactively, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion.

Understand sizer templates and underwriting guidelines; prepare and maintain financial models for commercial real estate assets.

Review property appraisals, inspection reports, insurance, title documents, and other data for risk evaluation.

Underwrite rehabilitation, construction budgets, and various loan types, including Fix & Flip, Bridge, New Construction, Multifamily, and DSCR Rental loans.

Communicate daily progress, outstanding items, and next steps to the deal team efficiently.

Act as a technical coach, support team development, and continuously upgrade technical knowledge.

Interface with multiple departments to obtain information, present proposals, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Verify market comparable, conduct trend analysis, and review third-party reports to support loan decisions.

Required Skills & Experience :

3–6+ years in U. S. mortgage origination and underwriting (Residential or Commercial).

Strong knowledge of credit analysis (Income, Assets, Liabilities – 3 Cs of Underwriting).

Expertise in Fix & Flip, Bridge, New Construction, Multifamily Bridge, and DSCR Rental loans.

Proven ability to review appraisals, tax certificates, insurance, and project documentation.

Proficiency in databases like Co Star, Loop Net, REIS, NIC MAP, RCA, Axiometrics, and MS Office.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills; flexible, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.

Knowledge of financial analysis for commercial lending (FMAC, FNMA, Life Company, bridge lending).
