Job Description : Assistant Project Manager

Location : Mumbai

Experience : 4 to 8 years

Education : Civil Engineering with Postgraduate Degree in Construction Management or Project Management

Reporting To : Project Manager

Qualifications & Skills Required :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE) with a postgraduate degree in Project or Construction Management

Understanding of planning concepts & project life cycle plus must have worked on MSP

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on interpersonal relationships.

Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

Proven problem-solving abilities with a solution oriented mind-set.

Proficient in the use of technology, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other task / project management software.

Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.

Design presentation skills that convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Results driven with a goal oriented approach.

Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution and successful delivery of projects, requiring a proactive individual who thrives in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities :

Internal Communication and Protocols : Collaborate with design managers, construction teams, procurement teams, and other internal and external stakeholders to review and enhance current communication, reporting, and documentation protocols. Aim to establish best practices that are simple and effective.

Project Scheduling : Develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring the timely completion of all design, engineering, procurement, and construction activities in alignment with the established timeline.

Reporting : Generate periodic reports for various projects and create weekly snapshots outlining project statuses, action plans, and critical updates.

Supervision and Compliance : Oversee Construction Managers to ensure compliance with building and safety codes while monitoring construction progress and worker productivity.

Team Coordination : Lead and coordinate with various internal and external teams, including consultants, for all aspects related to design, construction, procurement, and sales activities.

Cross Functional Assistance : Provide assistance and coordination among design managers, value engineers, site teams, procurement teams, sales teams, legal teams, and new business teams to address project related scopes effectively.

Cost and Time Efficiency : Actively identify and implement cost and timesaving strategies throughout the design, procurement, and construction phases of the projects.

Team Management : Support in hiring, mentoring, and managing the internal design management team by setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting monthly performance reviews of design managers.

Budget Management : Evaluate project budgets and oversee consultant payments, ensuring financial adherence and accountability.

Site Coordination : Ensure the timely resolution of all site related Requests for Information (RFIs) concerning design and engineering aspects.

Risk Assessment : Identify project risks and issues, offering solutions and recommendations to mitigate potential delays or complications.
