Assistant General Manager / General Manager - Sales & Business Development - Specialty Chemicals

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• The incumbent will be instrumental in driving the sales and marketing of specialty chemicals in steel manufacturing sectors.
• This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and practical experience in steel production to understand client requirements and present effective solutions that meet their needs while ensuring impactful product deliverables and client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement marketing plans for specialty chemicals tailored to the steel industry.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing clients across the steel sector.
• Deliver comprehensive technical presentations to clients, articulating the benefits of products and their applications
• Collaborate with R&D to align products with client feedback and market needs specific to the industry.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Address client inquiries and provide extensive product support to enhance user experience.
• Monitor product performance in client applications, communicating progress and results to customers.
• Encourage a culture of customer focus and continuous improvement within the team.
• Excellent relationship skills, with the ability to find, maintain, and grow profitable relationships across.
• Proven track record in sales and marketing, preferably with experience in specialty chemicals or allied products tailored to steel manufacturing plants.
• Comprehensive understanding of steel manufacturing processes
• Must have a strong network within the steel sector
• Ability to analyze customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Min. 18 - 20 years of relevant work experience in industrial sales catering to steel industry

BE in Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering
