Description : Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle ERP Specialist with a strong focus on General Ledger (GL) and Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS) modules. This is a contract position with a hybrid work model, requiring the specialist to be based in Chennai with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
The specialist will be a key contributor to managing, maintaining, and enhancing our clients' Oracle ERP systems. The role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, hands-on application support, and strong consulting acumen to drive business process improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
Oracle Application Management & Support
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) with a primary focus on the General Ledger (GL) and Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS) modules.
- Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and configuration of the Oracle Applications environment, including GL period close, segment value changes, and intercompany balancing setup.
- Provide advanced functional and technical support for Oracle Applications, particularly Oracle HR, ensuring all modules are functioning optimally and aligned with business needs.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolution of issues across the Oracle ERP landscape, focusing on financial and intercompany transaction flows.
System Integration & Consulting :
Lead and execute the integration of various external and internal systems and applications with the core Oracle ERP system, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.Apply expertise in Business Process Improvement to analyze, design, and implement solutions that leverage Oracle capabilities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Provide expert Consulting services to stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into effective, scalable, and supportable Oracle solutions.Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation for configurations, customizations, and integrations.Collaboration & Problem Solving :
Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex system issues and propose effective, timely solutions.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, and IT, to ensure system changes and enhancements meet organizational goals.Work both independently and collaboratively in the hybrid environment, managing assigned tasks, projects, and deliverables with minimal supervision.Required Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience working with Oracle Applications (Oracle EBS), with significant expertise in Oracle GL and AGIS.Module Proficiency : Deep hands-on experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting Oracle General Ledger (GL) and Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS). Experience with Oracle HR is also required.Technical Skills : Proven skill in the Integration of various systems and applications with Oracle EBS. Knowledge of common integration methods (e.g., APIs, EDI, interfaces) is essential.Business Acumen : Demonstrated proficiency in Business Process improvement and providing effective Consulting on ERP best practices.Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.Soft Skills :
