What will you contribute?
Analyze, design, develop, deliver, evaluate and plan learning solutions. The Learning Design Specialist will work with Subject Matter Experts and other Instructional Design team members to create curriculum assets that will support internal learners, with a specific focus on creating content relevant to employees in the Technology, Product Management and Sales role families at Finastra.
The Learning Design Specialist will use strong interpersonal, written, and instructional design skills to design, develop and maintain documents and assets such as training guides, e-learning, micro-learning and procedural online videos. The Learning Design Specialist will ensure that these curriculum assets are developed and maintained according to company and industry training standards and processes.
Responsibilities & Deliverables :
Partner with business stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning needs aligned with strategic priorities
Conduct needs assessments and capability analyses to inform learning solutions
Design end-to-end learning experiences using instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and modern learning methodologies
Develop scalable, high-impact learning programs including digital, blended, and virtual instructor-led formats
Create engaging content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise. Powtoon, Camtasia) and learning platforms (e.g., LMS, LXP)
Apply learning science and data-driven insights to optimize program effectiveness and learner engagement
Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex concepts into accessible learning materials
Implement learning solutions using agile or iterative development approaches
Evaluate learning programs using qualitative and quantitative methods to measure impact on performance and business outcomes
Continuously improve learning solutions based on feedback, analytics, and evolving business needs
Champion the use of innovative technologies (e.g., AI, simulations) to enhance learning experiences
Ensure learning programs are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with global standards and compliance requirements
Support change management and communication strategies to drive adoption of learning initiatives
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to stay current on industry trends and best practices
Contribute to the development of learning design standards, templates, and toolkits for enterprise-wide use
Required Skills, Experience, Education :
Technical Skills
Proficiency with learning technologies and tools such as :
Learning Management Systems or Platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Pluralsight, Linkedin Learning)
Authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Powtoon, Camtasia)
Collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)
Data and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, xAPI / LRS) for learning evaluation
Familiarity with digital learning formats including microlearning, video, simulations, social learning and mobile learning
Understanding of SCORM, AICC, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1)
Core Skills

Experience
5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a related learning and development role
Proven experience consulting with business stakeholders to assess learning needs and deliver impactful solutions
Experience designing and developing learning programs in a corporate or enterprise environment, preferably in financial services or technology sectors
Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed organization
Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field
Industry certification (e.g., CPLP, ATD, Instructional Design Certificate) is a strong asset
