Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Chennai.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, customization, and optimization of various ServiceNow modules, including IT Service Management (ITSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
You will play a crucial role in leveraging the full potential of the ServiceNow platform to meet evolving business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions tailored to specific business needs and requirements.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, including the creation and modification of workflows, UI policies, business rules, and client scripts.
- Integrate ServiceNow with various third-party applications and systems using REST, SOAP APIs, and MID servers to ensure seamless data exchange and process automation.
- Configure and maintain key ServiceNow components such as the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery, Service Catalog, Orchestration, and Automation workflows.
- Develop custom applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform utilizing JavaScript, the Glide API, and adhering to ServiceNow best practices.
- Proactively work on optimizing the performance, security, and scalability of ServiceNow applications and instances.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts and end-users, to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Implement and refine workflows for core ITSM processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, Asset Management, and Configuration Management.
- Configure and customize HR Service Delivery (HRSD) workflows to automate HR processes and improve overall employee experiences.
- Develop and implement IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities, including Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, and leveraging AIOps functionalities.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to various ServiceNow modules and custom applications in a timely manner.
- Stay current with the latest ServiceNow releases, new features, platform enhancements, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and implementation.Proven expertise in configuring and customizing core ServiceNow modules : ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset, CMDB), HRSD, ITAM, and ITOM (Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping).Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development technologies including JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Workflows, and Flow Designer.Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, and MID Server configurations.Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, data model, and security best practices.Experience in developing custom applications and scoped applications within ServiceNow.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is highly desirable.Certifications in specific ServiceNow modules (ITSM, HRSD, ITOM) would be a significant advantageref : hirist.tech)
