We are a 1-year-old startup building mobile apps that improve productivity, health, and personal development. Our lean team of 9 creates delightful, AI-based, data-driven products from habit trackers and child-care tools to hobbyist utilities for coin collectors, gardeners, and more.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Node.js Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the backend infrastructure powering our apps. You'll own services end-to-end, collaborate closely with our founder / designers, and help shape our technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality backend architecture and microservices.
• Build secure, well-documented APIs and data models.
• Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (servers, EC2, S3, networking, CI / CD).
• Create AI workflows (image-based identification, AI chat) with production pipelines.
• Choose the tech stack and lead key architectural decisions.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost; monitor and debug in production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product requirements into technical specs.
• Deploy on AWS / GCP and manage cloud resources effectively.
• Contribute to hiring and team building.
