Position : Sales Manager – Museums & Heritage / Art Conservation
Location : Delhi / Delhi-NCR (with travel as needed)
Experience : 3-8 years (ideally 5+) in B2B / institutional sales
Reports to : Director
Key Purpose :
To develop and manage the sales pipeline of museum, heritage, art-conservation institutions, galleries, and related buyers; to close new business and build long-term relationships in this niche sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prospect and identify potential clients in the museum / heritage / conservation segment (e.g., national / state museums, private galleries, conservation labs, heritage foundations).
- Engage with decision-makers (curators, heads of conservation, procurement leads) to understand their needs and position your products / services (equipment, consulting, software, conservation supplies).
- Develop customised proposals and presentations that align with heritage / conservation goals (“preservation”, “restoration”, “heritage standards”).
- Manage the full sales cycle : lead generation → qualifying → demo / presentation → negotiation → closing → hand-over to implementation / support team.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales forecasts, pipeline reports and arrears.
- Build and nurture relationships for long-term business
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, heritage / archival conferences and leverage networks to generate leads.
- Work with marketing and product teams to tailor messaging for this niche audience.
- Track market trends, competitor offerings in heritage-conservation space and propose adjustments.
Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree (Business / Marketing) preferred; MBA is a plus.Proven sales record (3-8 yrs, ideally 5+) in B2B / institutional sales. Experience selling to cultural / institutional clients or heritage segment is a strong plus.Excellent presentation, negotiation, proposal-writing skills.Ability to talk the language of heritage / conservation : understand the domain enough to engage curators / labs credibly.Comfortable traveling and meeting senior stakeholders.Strong CRM discipline, pipeline management.Self-motivated, resourceful, and strategic thinker.Compensation & Benefits :
Base salary : approx ₹5 – 10 lakhs per annum (depending on seniority and experience)Additional benefits : travel allowance, performance bonus, participation in trade shows.
