Exide Energy Solutions Limited is a wholly owned Subsidiary of Exide Industries Limited, leading battery manufacturing and distribution company in India with annual revenues of $1.8+ Bn. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is investing $500+ Mn dollars to setup Indias first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium-Ion Cells at Devanahalli Industrial Area in Bengaluru. Exide Energy designs, develops, and manufactures Lithium Ion Cells and Battery Pack solutions for various energy storage. Exide Energy is a leading player in the market with OEM customers across key market applications 2W, 3W, 4W, CV and industrial applications. Exide is also deeply invested in further developing li-ion technology with significant R&D investments including setup of in-house team as well as necessary lab infrastructure to support development activities.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Deputy Manager - Legal to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a law graduate with a CS Inter qualification who possesses strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting various corporate governance functions.

Role & responsibilities :

  • Legal :
  • Commercial Contracts : -Draft, review and finalise commercial contracts and other legal documents. Ensure that all documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Legal Research : Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization. Provide legal opinions and advice based on research findings.
  • Compliance Monitoring : Monitor and ensure compliance across the company in adherence to the legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Document Management : Maintain an organized system for document storage and retrieval. Track changes and updates to legal documents and maintain version control.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, auditors, and other internal & external stakeholders

2. Secretarial :

  • Prepare, review, and finalize documentation related to board meetings, shareholders meetings, and committee meetings. Ensure all records are accurate and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • MCA E-filings and updating statutory registers.
  • Qualifications :

  • Law graduate with a CS Inter qualification. 4+ years experience in a firm or in-house.
  • Ability to independently manage and review commercial contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal principles, Companies Act 2013, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance software and tools.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality.
