We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive HSSE Monitoring Leader, EHS Leader, or Safety Leader to spearhead the development and implementation of robust health and safety plans. This critical role involves enforcing policies, evaluating practices, and ensuring strict compliance with legal guidelines across all operations. You will be responsible for conducting training, monitoring adherence to safety protocols, investigating incidents, and providing actionable recommendations to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Your primary focus will be on promoting occupational health and safety and minimizing risks for all employees and contractors.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Policy Implementation & Enforcement :
- Implement and enforce HSSE policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company, local, and international standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., Factories Act, OSHA, environmental regulations).
- Site Monitoring & Hazard Control :
- Conduct daily site safety inspections across all project phases, including civil, structural, MEP, HVAC, cleanroom, and utility works .
- Monitor site activities for hazards and unsafe practices , ensuring prompt implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and toolbox talks .
- Training & Emergency Preparedness :
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills , firefighting training, and first-aid programs.
- Ensure that contractors and workers strictly follow PPE protocols , work at height safety, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Incident Management & Reporting :
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and near-misses , preparing root cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.
- Maintain and update comprehensive site safety documentation , including work permits, incident reports, safety checklists, and audit logs.
- Audit & Continuous Improvement :
- Support safety audits, inspections, and ensure the effective closeout of audit findings and safety observations.
Skills
Strong knowledge of GMP / EHS compliance in pharma or life sciences environments.Familiarity with work permit systems, confined space safety, scaffolding, electrical safety , and emergency preparedness.Excellent observation, communication, and incident-reporting skills.Proven ability to implement and enforce safety protocols.Qualifications
A Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science with specialized training in Industrial Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ADIS ).Prior experience in EHS / HSSE roles , preferably in High Voltage Products (Breakers / disconnectors and switches) Manufacturing Plant construction projects.Skills Required
