Highly Skilled Database Administrator Wanted

Job descriptionAdminister RDS, Aurora, and EC2-hosted database instances with expertise. Utilize CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and third-party tools to monitor database performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to model new schemas, optimize indexes, and review queries. Enforce best practices in database normalization, partitioning, and data lifecycle management. Implement robust data encryption, access controls, and audit logging to meet company policies. Support GDPR / SOC 2 / ISO 27001 initiatives by implementing appropriate database controls and evidence collection. 10+ years of DBA experience with proven track records in : MSSQL Server (SQL Agent, SSIS, performance tuning) and PostgreSQL (query optimization, extensions, logical replication). Strong hands-on experience with AWS database services : RDS, Aurora, S3, and IAM integration. Solid understanding of SQL query optimization, execution plans, and troubleshooting slow queries. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation using tools like Terraform or Ansible. Experience with NoSQL databases. Exposure to CI / CD pipelines with database change management tools. Knowledge of containerized database deployments. Certification in AWS.

- Monitor and ensure uptime and performance service level agreements are met across cloud and hybrid environments.
