POSITION : General Manager – Marketing

SALARY : Net USD 6,000 - 8,000 + Benefits
OVERVIEW :
Our client, is a leading apparel manufacturer seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager Marketing to drive the overall marketing and business development strategy of the apparel division, with a strong focus on building new customer relationships, expanding into new markets, and growing product portfolios such as jackets, outerwear, and lifestyle apparel . Exposure to working with global brands such as Patagonia, Uniqlo, Carhartt or similar premium brands will be a strong advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with the company’s growth objectives in the apparel sector.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including international markets, to diversify the customer base.
- Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with global apparel brands, retailers, and sourcing offices.
- Lead product development and innovation strategies with emphasis on jackets, outerwear, and performance wear.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to ensure competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to align marketing initiatives with product capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with buyers and sourcing partners.
- Drive brand-building initiatives and position the company as a trusted apparel manufacturing partner for leading global brands.
- Ensure strong business pipeline through proactive customer engagement and relationship management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing / business development team to achieve set targets.
PRE-REQUISITES :
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).Minimum 12–15 years of marketing / business development experience in the apparel industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record in new business development and international customer acquisition .Strong product knowledge in jackets, outerwear, and lifestyle apparel categories.Exposure to working with international brands such as Patagonia, Uniqlo, Carhartt or similar retailers will be a significant advantage.
