Job Title : Quality Engineer ELV & Mechanical Systems

Location : Noida (On-site)

Experience : 2+ Years

Industry : Building Automation / Fire Safety / Security Systems / MEP

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to ensure that the delivery, installation, and commissioning of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) and Mechanical Fire Safety Systems comply with project specifications, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with quality assurance procedures in systems such as Fire Alarm, Public Address, BMS, Rodent Repellent, CCTV , and Fire Suppression Systems .

Key Responsibilities :

Quality Assurance & Inspection :

Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks during installation and commissioning phases.

Review and verify installation works against approved shop drawings and technical specifications.

Maintain and prepare inspection reports, test plans, and compliance records.

Ensure adherence to standards such as NBC, NFPA, IS, IEC, etc.

ELV Systems Quality Control :

Inspect installations of :

Fire Alarm Systems (FAS)

Public Address Systems (PAS)

Water Leak Detection Systems

Smoke Aspiration Systems

Building Management Systems (IBMS)

PLC-based Control and Automation Systems

Ensure proper configuration, labeling, and termination of field devices and control panels.

Mechanical Systems Quality Control :

Conduct inspections and verification of :

Fire Hydrant & Hose Reel Systems

Sprinkler Systems

Pre-action Systems

Fire Suppression Systems (FM200, Novec, Nitrogen, etc.)

Verify submittals and drawings against site work.

Arrange necessary third-party tests and obtain relevant certificates (e.g., CCTV testing).

Ensure material delivery is as per purchase orders and technical specifications.

Verify hydraulic calculations and functional tests.

Documentation & Reporting :

Maintain accurate records including :

Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

Method Statements

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

Support internal audits and third-party inspections.

Report quality issues and follow through on corrective actions.

Coordination :

Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, vendors, and contractors to address quality concerns.

Coordinate with client representatives and consultants for approvals and site walkthroughs.

Key Requirements :

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 2 years of QA / QC experience in ELV or mechanical fire protection systems.

Knowledge of NBC, NFPA, IS, IEC codes and standards.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Familiarity with QA / QC tools, audit practices, and construction safety protocols.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with integrated building systems and automation.

Knowledge of system commissioning and troubleshooting.

Certification in Quality Management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) is an added advantage.
