The positions
Deakin Law school is looking to appoint several developing or established scholars to ongoing academic positions, both teaching and research and education-focused.
Scholars working in all fields of legal teaching and research are welcome to apply, with expertise in the following fields being particularly welcome : Property Law; Equity and Trusts; Contract Law; Evidence; Criminal Law; Family Law; Commercial Law; Environmental Law; and Health Law.
As an Associate Lecturer (Level A), Lecturer (Level B), Senior Lecturer (Level C), Associate Professor (Level D) or Professor (Level E) in Deakin Law School you will be actively involved in teaching, including :
In a teaching and research role, you will also undertake scholarly research, publish in quality journals and secure research funding. By developing a body of work recognised for quality and impact you will build a national reputation. At senior lecturer level or above, you will also participate in and lead collaborations that enable high quality research with national or international impact and recognition. In an education-focused role, you will contribute to the advancement of knowledge within your field, or in relation to legal pedagogy.
You will foster relationships with other academics and universities, the community, government and the legal profession, contributing to the University’s community engagement agenda and enhancing the scholarly reputation of the University.
