Job Summary :
This position is responsible for
leading and managing procurement, shipping & logistics operations, and service delivery
, driving
continuous improvement, transformation, and capability building
internal stakeholders and external vendors
to ensure efficient end-to-end supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership :
Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 members, manage stakeholders, and ensure top performance.
Procurement Operations :
Oversee tactical procurement, vendor management, order processing, contract management, inventory management, MRP, P2P cycle, reporting, and MIS.
Shipping & Logistics :
Manage letters of credit, import / export documentation (sea & air), shipment tracking, transportation, and adherence to SLAs.
Vendor Management :
Benchmark, onboard, audit, evaluate, and monitor supplier performance; drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
Process Transition & Continuous Improvement :
Facilitate knowledge transfer, process integration, gap analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Performance Monitoring :
Track SLA compliance, on-time delivery, cost productivity, and KPI reporting via dashboards.
Stakeholder Management :
Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, provide updates to leadership, and resolve operational issues.
Requirements :
10–15 years of experience in
procurement, logistics, strategic sourcing, and vendor management
, with 5+ years in a
managerial role
Exposure to
import / export operations
, shipment execution, documentation handling, and international suppliers.
Strong knowledge of
SAP MM module
, strategic sourcing, and supply chain processes.
Skills in
gap analysis, process optimization, project management, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement
Excellent
analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
, with proficiency in
MS Office
Graduation / Post-graduation in any discipline; specialization in
Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related areas
preferred.
