Role Description :

This is a full-time remote role for a Scala Developer.

The Scala Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions.

Day-to-day tasks include writing and reviewing code, participating in code reviews, and working with microservices and functional programming principles.

The developer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software features and skills : Scala, Akka, Cats Effects, http4s, NGINX, Neo4j, Kafka, Zookeeper.

• At least 4 years professional experience in Scala programmer roles with either Akka or Play framework hands-on experience and experience with any functional programming library in Scala.
• Fluency in functional programming.
• Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Experience with HTTP / REST services.
• Experience with micro-services.
• Experience in any NoSQL DB and should have knowledge on SQL as well.
• Communication and collaboration skills in considered a plus :
• Experience in using non-blocking IO.
• Multi-threaded and parallel programming.
• Experience with Gemfire / Geode or other distributed database or cache.
• Object-oriented & Functional patterns.
• Bash shell scripting.
