Job description
Key Responsibilities :
Manage Cato network devices and Extreme switches, APs
Design, configure, and deploy Extreme Networks solutions across enterprise environments.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for Extreme Networks switches, routers, wireless access points, and management platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring.
Stay updated with the latest Extreme Networks technologies, firmware updates, and best practices.
Train and mentor junior network engineers and support staff.
Interface with Extreme Networks support and account teams for escalations and strategic planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Strong knowledge and hand-on experience in configuring Cato network devices and Extreme switches, APs
Strong understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and multicast.
Experience with Extreme Management Center (XMC), Fabric Connect, and ExtremeCloud IQ.
Certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS) or Extreme Certified Expert (ECE) are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
Knowledge of network security principles and integration with firewalls and NAC solutions
