Project Engineer - Crane EPC

Job descriptionPrepare and track project schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools. Interface with internal departments – design, procurement, quality, and site teams – to align with project milestones. Conduct regular progress reviews and generate project status reports. Attend technical meetings, site coordination meetings, and client reviews. Manage subcontractors and ensure all site activities adhere to safety and quality standards. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of technical issues. Prepare and manage project documentation : ITPs, FAT / SAT reports, commissioning checklists, etc. Support handover and closure activities post-commissioning. Assist in as-built drawings and final documentation submission. Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Structural Engineering PMP certification (optional but advantageous) 3–8 years in handling projects related to cranes , hoisting systems , or material handling equipment Experience in industrial, steel plants, power, ports, or infrastructure projects is preferred Knowledge of EOT / Gantry / Jib / Tower crane structures and components Familiarity with standards like IS, DIN, FEM, CMAA, IEC Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office Understanding of load testing, commissioning, and safety protocols Strong coordination and communication abilities Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required
Key Responsibilities :
Project Execution
- Manage day-to-day technical and engineering activities of crane EPC projects.
- Review client specifications, technical documents, and project scope to ensure design compliance.
- Coordinate with design teams for layout, GA drawings, and structural requirements.
- Liaise with procurement and vendors for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Supervise fabrication, erection, installation, and testing of cranes on site.
