Description :
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Manager - Data Operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end data processes. Based in our Pune (Kharadi) office, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of our data infrastructure, pipelines, and reporting capabilities. This role requires a strong technical background, a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, and a proven track record in managing critical data operations and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Strategy & Management :
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of data operations, ensuring all end-to-end data processes are reliable, efficient, and scalable.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data warehousing solutions and complex ETL / ELT pipelines.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, availability, and performance across the organization.
Technical Expertise & Execution :
Leverage strong hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling, and query optimization to enhance data access and system efficiency.Manage and utilize cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) and various data integration tools.Ensure the seamless integration and performance of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) used for business intelligence and reporting.Governance, Compliance & Security :
Enforce a solid understanding of data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and security best practices to maintain data integrity and compliance.Leadership & Collaboration :
Work cross-functionally to align data operations with strategic goals set by architecture, analytics, and business teams.Serve as a key technical liaison, translating business needs into operational data requirements.Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience : 6+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or related data-focused roles, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing end-to-end data processes.Core Data Skills : Strong expertise in data warehousing, ETL / ELT pipelines, and the administration / integration of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).Technical Proficiency : Hands-on experience with SQL, advanced data modeling techniques, and query optimization.Cloud Data Platforms : Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) and various data integration tools.Regulatory Knowledge : Solid understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and security best practices related to data handling.Soft Skills : Exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to successfully manage multiple complex priorities.Collaboration : Demonstrated experience working effectively cross-functionally with architecture, analytics, and business teams.(ref : hirist.tech)
