Administrator Key Responsibilities
Linux Administration :
Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups.Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to enhance reliability and efficiency.Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and training.Update and Upgrade Linux EnvironmentsCo-ordinate with Networking and Storage Teams for integration / connectivity issues.Linux Clustering :
Design and implement high-availability Linux clustering solutions using technologies such as Pacemaker, Corosync, or DRBD.Manage clustering technologies such as Pacemaker, Corosync, or similar.Monitor and optimize cluster performance and resource allocation.Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for clustered environments.Troubleshoot and resolve clustering-related issues on time.Monitoring Solutions :
Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) to track system performance and health.Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.Create alerts and dashboards for real-time monitoring of system metrics.Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliabilityQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3+ years of experience in Linux administration and support.Strong knowledge of Linux clustering technologies and best practices.Experience with monitoring tools and solutions in a Linux environment.Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Ansible).Strong understanding of networking, storage solutions, and virtualization (KVM, VMware)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.Understanding of Red Hat Satellite or any other Patching solution is a Plus.Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are a plus.Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Skills Required
