Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive and skilled TechOps Administrator with 3-7 years of experience to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a Linux expert responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Linux server environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, integrity, and performance of our systems, and requires a strong technical background in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
System Administration & Maintenance :
- Administer, configure, and monitor Linux servers and operating systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including Linux patch management, security updates, and OS upgrades.
- Manage and troubleshoot File system-related issues (Linux Native / Veritas).
- Conduct User Management, Disk Management, and Linux networking & Technical Support :
- Provide technical support to system users, leveraging strong knowledge of Linux system management principles.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues and glitches in the Linux operating system.
- Maintain the stability and integrity of the Linux environment through effective Management :
- Gain and apply knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
- Work with virtualization platforms and cloud environments to manage and support infrastructure.
- Manage and support cluster nodes in a production environment.
Required Skills :
Core Linux Administration :
Prior experience of 3-7 years working as a Linux administrator.Sound knowledge of Linux system management principles and practices.Proven experience with User Management, File System Management, Disk Management, and Linux networking.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining Linux servers.Certifications & Knowledge :
A professional certification in Linux system management.Familiarity with VMWare and Azure cloud management.Knowledge of web server technologies.Operational Skills :
Experience working both individually and as part of a 24 / 7 team.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Skills :
Advanced Certifications : Additional Linux certifications such as RHCT or RHCE.Enterprise Environment : Experience in cluster node management for production environments.Scripting : Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation of administrative tasks.Specific Tooling : Experience with Veritas for file system management.Cloud Knowledge : A deeper understanding of cloud computing and virtualization concepts beyond basic familiarity.(ref : hirist.tech)
