Body Engineering Team Lead

Job descriptionCompetence (leader in person) for technical, disciplinary leadership in the 'Y model'. Lead the design, development, and validation of body systems from concept to production. Oversee the integration of body systems (Interior, Exterior, Closures, BIW) with other vehicle domains (E / E, Chassis, Power Train, etc.) Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Drive innovation in lightweight materials, manufacturing processes, and structural design. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to optimize cost, performance, and manufacturability. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technical specialists. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage. Participate in development of product and process innovations to enable future projects and represent the team towards BMW Munich Ensure timely release and availability of component scopes and associated product functions of the team. Coordinate team to fulfil cross-functional efforts to meet cost, weight, quality, and timing targets. Drive legally compliant service provision including patent / license rights and local content approvals. Facilitate conflict resolution and collaboration within simultaneous engineering teams. Oversee Cross-functional coordination of the team with CAE, NVH, Crash, Manufacturing, Quality, and Serviceability BMW partners. Oversee modular vehicle integration in cooperation with associated functions. Initiate and lead project workshops, kick-offs, and milestone reviews. Guide team in fields like change management, maturity, and risk assessments in alignment with PMP and RSKM processes. concept plausibility checks and ensure uniform working methods across teams.

- Customer-facing experience in OEM / tier-1 environments
- Speaking writing German language
