Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education : Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (or related field) from a reputable institution.
- Experience : Minimum 6+ years of experience in electronics hardware design (experience in RF and analog circuit design is highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB design.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g. network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
- Experience in preparing clear and thorough technical design documentation.
- Ability to manage project priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Understanding of the R&D project lifecycle (PLM process).
- Willingness to travel internationally as required (e.g. to Macau, Las Vegas, Australia for collaboration or support).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge of EMC testing standards and regulatory requirements.Familiarity with the unique challenges of RF environments and interference mitigation.Understanding of RFID technologies, especially 13.56 MHz systems (e.g. ISO / IEC 18000-2 Mod 2 and 18000-3 Mod 3 standards).Experience with NI LabVIEW and MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.Simulation & Modeling : Experience with simulation and modeling tools for RF / electronic design (e.g. electromagnetic field simulators or circuit modeling software) is a plus.Tasks & Responsibilities
Electronics Design : Lead new electronics design projects, including enhancements to current RFID-based products (13.56 MHz).Antenna Design : Perform 1D / 3D antenna design for new and existing products and projects, optimizing RFID reader range and reliability.Testing & Compliance : Take responsibility for production testing and ensure designs meet EMC compliance and other regulatory requirements.PCB Design : Develop schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, integrating RF, analog, and digital components.Technical Documentation : Produce detailed technical documents (e.g. Theory of Operation, schematics, BOMs, test plans) to support design and manufacturing.Prototyping : Build and evaluate prototypes; conduct iterative testing and troubleshooting to validate design concepts and performance.Cross-Team Collaboration : Collaborate closely with our software development team in India and support teams in Macau and Las Vegas to integrate systems and resolve issues.Vendor / Stakeholder Liaison : Liaise with the WDTS product marketing team and our contract manufacturer to align design specifications, production testing, and product release schedules.Skills Required
