Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts

who can lead core financial activities — including accounting excellence, compliance, cost control, and timely reporting — to enable informed business decisions.

JOB OBJECTIVES

To ensure accurate and timely financial accounting, reporting and compliance for plant operations. The role supports the Finance Head in managing day to day financial transactions. MIS reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, and adherence to statutory and internal control requirements, while partnering with operational teams for data accuracy and financial discipline.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage day to day accounting operations including vendor invoices, journal entries, and ledger reconciliation.

Support monthly and annual closing processes, prepare trial balances schedules for finalization of accounts.

Prepare and circulate periodic MIS reports on expenses, overheads and key financial indicators.

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of plant level budgets and analyze variances against actuals.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Prepare documentation and coordinate with statutory, internal and auditors for timely audit completion.

Maintain updated records and ensure adherence to company and regulatory accounting standards.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

Oversee vendor payment processing, reconciliations, and credit management.

Follow-up on receivables and ensure timely recovery and proper accounting.

Banking & Treasury Operations

Handle daily banking transaction, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations.

Assist in monitoring cash flow, working capital requirements and fund utilization.

Internal Controls & ERP System

Implement and monitor internal financial controls as per company SOPs.

Ensure accuracy of entries and reports in SAP and support process automation initiatives.

Maintain the fixed assets register and ensure correct capitalization of assets.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION’S

Any Graduate, Inter CA

Years and Nature of Experience

5-9 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts in a manufacturing plant setup.

Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Goa.
