Sales Manager
PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE :
The Sales Manager shall be primarily responsible for achieving the sales and related targets including all the sub-objectives, as assigned to him each year.
This role shall adhere to company policy in respect of pricing, credit terms and operations management minimizing seeking of exceptions in these areas and shall also work on customer collections in coordination with others - such that Annual Budgets are achieved.
While leveraging the existing customer base shall be the primary objective of this role to achieve targeted growth, it shall also target acquiring new customers in the assigned market segment and geographies.
Maintaining regular and continuous relationship with customer-base shall be a major driver of success.
The role shall be measured against stated KPIs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
ACHIEVING ANNUAL SALES TARGETS :
- Meet the annual budgets in terms of sales volumes from one's allocated customersand any new ones developed within his own market segment while also
- adding new customers in own market segments in selected geographies
- improving the Quotation Success ratio - conversion of Quotations to Sales Orders
- Introducing (selling) new products or variants as approved by Product development function
ACHIEVING ANNUAL GROSS PROFIT BUDGETS :
Meet the annual Gross Profit budget value - through a judicious mix of driving sales volumes and right selling prices within the approved Policy guidelinesSTRATEGIC & TACTICAL ACTIONS :
Focus on obtaining repeat Orders from existing customersKeep regular interactions with market sources to obtain relevant info for business and future projects etcSALES FORECASTS & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT :
Ensure to provide regular accurate Sales & Collections forecasts from 3Ps to help in many areas - Cash management, inventory, resource planningMonitoring Stocks levels and driving sales coordination efforts to ensure that FG is minimal for stocks ordered by 3PsAny Technical certifications or Sales Management diploma / degree / certifications with MBASales experience in engineering products - mechanical / electrical.Products should have been related to Construction industry.Knowledge of scaffolding products including sales would be an advantage.Well networked person in his industry.Leadership experience : Should have managed a team of Sales Execs and with proven success record in target driven sales environment(ref : iimjobs.com)
